Dana R. Rogers

Dana R. Rogers, age 77, of Andover, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, OH. She was born August 20, 1936, in Queens, WV, a daughter of Darrell "Ted" and Elva (Zickefoose) Sloan. Dana married Eugene S. Rogers on August 4, 1956, in Winchester, VA. They moved to Williamsfield, Ohio, and then went on to be long time Andover residents. Dana's warm smile, loving personality, and amazing sense of humor has greeted many at the Andover Diner where she started working at in the 1960's. She continued to work at the diner up until March of this year. Her hobbies included playing cards; and she enjoyed making people laugh and spending time with her family and friends. Dana lived her life to the fullest and was a true inspiration to many and she will truly be missed. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Eugene S. Rogers, age 89, of Andover; her two daughters, Stephanie Taylor of Atlantic, PA, and Tamara (Ken Carr) Corson of Williamsfield, OH; her three grandchildren, Ryan Corson, Taylor Corson, and Shanelle (Darrel) Williams; her three great-grandchildren, Ashton Corson, Johnathan Williams, and Brooke Williams; two brothers; and five sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and one sister. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover,OH.
