Darl F. "Red" Albert, age 74, of Williamsfield, OH, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren,OH, after a short illness of leukemia. He was born June 29, 1932, in Andover,OH, the son of Clifford and Lena (Lewis) Albert. Darl graduated from Andover High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army during Korean War time and graduated from Kent State University afterwards. He then worked at Andover Industries followed by owning and operating the Pymatuning Area News newspaper. He also spent many years at Aetna Freight Lines in Warren, OH, as Safety & Personnel Director. He had a lifelong interest in Andover School and its programs, and spent many years as scorekeeper at basketball games. He was always a faithful fan of the Cleveland Indians baseball team. Darl was also a lifelong active member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Andover where he served as a Deacon. Darl was always interested in his family members and closely followed the careers of the younger ones. He was very fond of many of his business associates over the years. His will shows great affection for the Andover School, his church, family, and close friends. Darl is survived by his sister, Pauline (Alan) Headman of Ashtabula, OH; brother, Russell (Mary) Albert of Ashtabula, OH; twin brother, Dale (Barbara) Albert of Bushnell, FL; nieces, Amy, Lori, Cathy, Beth, and Karen; nephews, Larry, Jeffrey, and Doug; and several great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Emerson Albert; and a niece,Judy Albert. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover. Calling hours will be Sunday, May 6th from 2 to 5 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational United Church of Christ, P.O.
