Darlene G. Hersman

Darlene G. Hersman,age 77, of Andover, OH, died Thursday, December 31, 2015, at her home. She was born May 29, 1938, in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of Bertell C. Butler and Dorothy (Bucknam) Butler. A resident of Andover for the past eleven years, Mrs. Hersman was formerly of Mentor, Ohio. She was employed for over forty years as an L.P.N. She was an avid reader. Mrs. Hersman married Bruce N. Hersman on March 14, 1959, and he preceded her on January 4, 2014. She is also preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Barry V. Hersman on January 4, 2014. She is survived by her two daughters, Daphne (Ron) Nero of Chagrin Falls, OH, and Sheri Filichia of Andover, OH; a daughter-in-law, Mabel Hersman; her five grandchildren, Crystal, Tabitha (Matt), Sonya, Alicia, and Cory; her six great grandchildren; her brother, Bertell C. Butler II of Florida; and her two sisters, Joan Mower of Minnesota, and Claudia Johnson of Florida. Mrs. Hersman will be cremated and a private service will be held for the family.
