Andover, OH--- David E. Dolan, Sr., age 70, of Andover, Ohio, died Thursday, June 11, 2009, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born April 30, 1939, in Warren, Ohio, the son of James M. and Mildred M. (Bunker) Dolan. A lifetime area resident, Mr. Dolan was a 1956 Williamsfield High School graduate and he attended Youngstown State University. He owned and operated a painting business for many years; and was former owner of Scooter's Restaurant in Andover, where he was renowned for his wings and prime rib. Mr. Dolan was a member of the Triandria Masonic Lodge, Rock Creek; and the Al Koran Temple . He enjoyed golfing, gardening, hunting, fishing, and refurbishing houses. Mr. Dolan is surived by his wife, Martha L. (Burleson) Dolan, whom he married Nov. 7, 1956, of Andover; two daughters, Luanne (Scott) Peairs of Painesville, OH, and Jody (Rob) Aldrich of Jacksonville, FL; a son, David E. (Jackie) Dolan, Jr. of Perry, OH; two brothers, James Dolan of Painesville, OH, and Cleo Dolan of Aurora, OH; one sister, Marge Parsons of Worthington,OH; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Suzie Day in 1981; three brothers, Theron, Richard, and Ronnie Dolan; and two sisters, Nona Heath and Ruth Baker. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. Cremation will follow.
