David A. Dorus

David A. Dorus, age 66, of Bazetta, Ohio, died on February 2, 2011, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on July 28, 1944, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the son of Anna (Penick) and Joseph Dorus. David was a 1962 graduate of Sharon High School. He worked for Ohio Lamp-General Electric in Warren, Ohio for over twenty-three years and retired in October of 2005. On June 14, 1991 he married Kathleen L. Davies. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle. David is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. Survivors include his wife of nineteen years, Kathleen L. Dorus of Bazetta, Ohio; a daughter, Tammy L. (Tom) Ferguson; two step-daughters, Lisa M. (Brian) Bates of Champion, Ohio and Amy S. (Kris) Parke of Greene, Ohio; a sister, Nona A. (Robert) Sorokach of Howland, Ohio; a brother, Richard J. Dorus of Murrieta, California; three grandchildren; three step grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A private service was held. Burial was in West View Cemetery in Vernon, Ohio.
