David W. Giaurtis

David W. Giaurtis, age 49, of Warren,OH, died July 24, 2009 at home. He was born June 13, 1960, the son of John and Nancy A. (Kay) Giaurtis. A former long time Johnston township resident, David just moved to Warren. He was a 1977 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School; and he attended Capitol College in Columbus. He was employed by Copperweld Steel in Warren for over twenty years; and was owner of "Signs by David" for many years. He was an artist having painted many murals in Trumbull County and art work for his family. David was a Mason; and he served on the Johnston Township Zoning Commission. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; and he loved his dog. David is survived by his father, John Giaurtis Jr. of Gustavus township,OH; his brother, John Giaurtis III of Warren, OH; two sisters, Diana L. Fauvie of Warren, OH, and Kimberly Giaurtis of Kinsman,OH; two nieces, Bethany and Alexis; and one nephew, Joshua. He is preceded in death by his mother. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 1:00 P.M.at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH, with Rev. Karl Bucey officiating. Burial will follow in Gustavus Cemetery.
