Williamsfield, Ohio-David P. McNeilly, age 80, died on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the Hospice House of Western Reserve. He was born on June 17, 1930 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of the late Luva E. (White) and Harlan J. â�œShortyâ McNeilly, Sr. A lifelong Williamsfield, Ohio resident, Mr. McNeilly was a 1947 graduate of Williamsfield High School. Mr. McNeilly was a rural postal carrier in Williamsfield for the United States Postal Service for thirty-six years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Andover for over thirty-five years where he was a Trustee for many years and with loving care maintained the church and the grounds. On October 30, 1953, he married Roberta A. Liggett. Mr. McNeilly was a member of the Woodcarvers Association. He was passionate about woodworking, making gifts for his family and friends. His family was most important to him and was always there for them. Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, Bobbie A. McNeilly of Williamsfield, Ohio; three daughters, Vicki L. VanGorder of Jefferson, Ohio, Sherry M. (Jim) Comp of Dorset, Ohio and Tina R. Pfister of Cortland, Ohio; a son, Michael E. (Mary) McNeilly of Mooresville, North Carolina; a sister, Reta McNeilly; two brothers, H. Jay (Barbara) McNeilly and Mark (Barbara) McNeilly; five grandchildren, Steven and Austin McNeilly, Nicole and Craig Conner and Amy Lyn MacKinzie; and a great grandson, Grant MacKinzie. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Andover, 5236 Stanhope Kelloggsville Road, Andover, Ohio, with Pastor Stephen W. Tharp officiating. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 15th from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio.
