David E. Olson, Sr., age 68, of Williamsfield, OH, died Sunday, September 30, 2018, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born May 7, 1950, in Orangeville, OH, a son of Verna (Swagert) Olson. A lifetime area resident, David attended Joseph Badger High School in Kinsman and then graduated in 1971 from Reynolds High School in Reynolds, PA. He was employed as a welder for 30 years for Greenville Steel Car. He also worked for Great Lakes Cheese Factory for 6 years in Hiram, OH; and the past 5 years David enjoyed being an Amish taxi. He was an avid bowler having played on leagues for many years in Greenville and Pennline. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and family; and fishing and hunting. In recent years David enjoyed goat farming as well. David is survived by his wife, Jacklynn A. (Logan) Olson, whom he married November 2, 1984, of Williamsfield; his son, David E. (Melissa) Olson, Jr., of Champion, OH; his step daughter, Jessica R.A. (Tim) Stilson of Jamestown, PA; his step son, Jon M.L. (Misty) Huffman of Williamsfield, OH; his sister, Marie (Rocky) Mort of Vernon township, OH; his 8 grandchildren, Melanie, Lucas, Autumn, Allison, Mya, Jada, Emma, and Kaden; and several nieces and nephews.
