Wayne, Ohio - David W. Reed, age 65, died on Sunday, October 11, 2009. He was born on September 27, 1944 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the son of Marian D. (Page) and Harold M. Reed. A lifelong area resident, David was a 1962 graduate of Andover High School. After high school David served in the United State Air Force from 1962 until 1964. Returning home from the service, he went to work for American Welding of Warren, Ohio, where he worked until they closed in 1993. In 1994 he started Reed's general services. On September 27, 1963, he married Pamela I. Vogt. David was a member of the West Williamsfield Community Church, the Pymatuning F.O.E. Aerie No. 4035 of Andover and a life member of the NRA. He enjoyed making radio controlled model airplanes and was the ground control. David is preceded in death by his mother, Marian Reed; an infant son, Dwayne Jay Reed and a grandson Caleb J. Weldy. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Pam of Wayne; a daughter, Roberta J. (Brian) Weldy of Dorset, Ohio; a son, Dean J. (Shannon) Reed of Williamsfield, Ohio; his father, Harold M. Reed of Williamsfield, Ohio; two sisters, Sandra L. (Keith) Dillon of Williamsfield, Ohio and Tamara J. Barnard of Dorset, Ohio and grandson, Shane S. Weldy. A graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 11:00am at Williamsfield Center Cemetery, State Route 7, Williamsfield, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1815 West Market Street, Suite 108, Akron, Ohio 44313.
