Delores Bowers Falasco

Delores J. Bowers Falasco, age 77, of Andover, OH, died Sunday, October 7, 2018, at her home. She was born March 20, 1941, in Warren,OH, a daughter of George E. and Pearl M. (Hunt) Bowers. She was a 1957 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School in Warren and then graduated from Raphaels School of Cosmetology in Niles, OH, where she also received her Electrologist certificate. She married Elmer G. Falasco on October 14, 1971, and had lived in Andover ever since. She owned and operated "Dee's Beauty Salon" in Andover for over 20 years. Mrs. Falasco was a member of the Cherry Valley Church of the Nazarene, where she served on the church board, sang in the choir, and served as a Sunday School teacher. She served on the county Election Board for 20 years, served on Andover Chamber of Commerce for 3 years, and served as a neighborhood Girl Scout chairman. She enjoyed to crocheting and knitting. Mrs. Falasco is survived by her husband, Elmer G. Falasco, of Andover; her two sons, Dean C. (Rachel) Pierce of Marengo, OH, and Daryl E. (Julie) Pierce of Hamilton,OH; two step daughters, Lynn Kettler of Hubbard, OH, and Jolene Ecker of Ashtabula, OH; one step son, Keith Falasco of Greenville, PA; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Donald Mark Pierce; and one brother, Charles E. Bowers. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 4:00 PM at the Cherry Valley Church of the Nazarene, 3410 St. Rt. 6, Andover, OH, with her son, Pastor Dean Pierce, officiating. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 3:00 PM until the time of service at church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Yolanda G.
