Derek M. Skinner

Derek M. Skinner, age 25, of Ashtabula, Ohio, died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at his home. He was born July 25, 1988, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, a son of Mark Douglas Skinner and Diana Lynn (Reisinger) Skinner. A resident of Ashtabula for a short time, Derek was formerly of Williamsfield, Ohio. He was a 2006 Pymatuning Valley High School graduate. Derek was employed at Dunn's Plastics in Ashtabula; and formerly was a construction worker. He was active in sports and numerous recreational activities. Derek also loved spending time with his family and friends, and enjoyed playing video and computer games. Derek is survived by his mother, Diana L. Skinner of Williamsfield; his step father, Ricky Staats of Williamsfield; a brother, James M. (Amberly R.) Reisinger of Madison, OH; a sister, Natasha L. Skinner of Meadville, PA; a brother, Kyle D. (Jessica M.) Skinner of Ashtabula; his maternal grandparents, Richard and Betty Reisinger of Atlantic, PA; two nieces; one nephew; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father; and paternal grandparents, Howard and Judith Skinner. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover,OH. Derek will be cremated following.
