Diane L. Baker

Bazetta, Ohio - Diane Lynn Baker, age 60, died on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at her home with her family by her side after a six year battle with cancer. She was born on August 8, 1951 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Mildred Hazel (Jewell) and Kenneth Robert Baker, Sr. Diane was a 1969 graduate of Champion High School, a graduate of Chopin Nursing School in 1978 and Sharon School of Nursing in 1994. She was a registered nurse for Trumbull Memorial Hospital for thirty four years and retired December 1, 2011. She enjoyed reading, traveling and was a avid sports fan. Diane is preceded in death by her father and an infant great niece, Angela Baker. Survivors include her mother, Mildred H. Baker of Cortland, Ohio; two sisters, Rhonda D. (William) Downs of Cortland, Ohio and April R. (Scott) Pinion of Brookfield, Ohio; four brothers, Kenneth R. (Connie Richards) Baker, Jr. of Howland, Ohio, Gary R. (Alyce) Baker of Cortland, Ohio, Jeffrey L. Baker of Cleveland, Ohio and Gregory L. Baker of Champion, Ohio; seven nieces & nephews, Sarah, Jennifer, Amy, Jessica, Gary, Jr., Jeremy and Scotty and great nephews, Ethan and Landon. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 11:00am at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. Burial will follow in Champion Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, March 27th from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohios Choice Hospice, 1520 East Market Street, Warren, OH 44483.
