Dominic P. DePofi

Dominic Philips "Boots" DePofi, Sr., 83 years old, of Vernon, Ohio, died at his home on April 21, 2004, due to an extended illness. He was born on September 27, 1920, in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania, the son of Francesco (Frank) and Vicenza DePofi. He retired from Shenango Inc. in 1982 after 40 years of service. He attended Sharpsville Schools and enjoyed rebuilding and showing old Ford cars, winning many awards. He also enjoyed gardening. He married Carolyn L. Higgins on July 4, 1941. He is survived by 3 sons, Donald P. (Linda) DePofi of Burghill, OH; Dominic P. (Maryann) DePofit of Greenville, PA; and Christopher D. DePofi of Kinsman, OH; two grandsons, Raymond "Louie" DePofi of Niles and Nicholas "Niko" DePofi of Warren, OH; a great granddaughter, Mika Alexandra DePofi of Warren and 2 sisters, Nancy DePofi Jovenall and Coleen "Molly" DePofi Palombi both of Sharpsville, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Raymond Wesley DePofi, a daughter, Debra Elizabeth Depofi Swope, a brother, Louis "Mace" DePofi and a sister Jenny DePofi Giudici. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 26, 2004, at 11:00a.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, with the Reverend Erwin M. Urschitz officiating. Burial will follow in West View Cemetery, Vernon, Ohio. Calling hours will be on Sunday, April 25, 2004, from 2:00p.m. until 5:00p.m. at the funeral home and from 10:00a.m. until the time of services on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Hospice and Palliative Care of Hermitage.
