Donald R. Ball

DONALD R. BALL, age 59, of Jamestown, Pa., died Friday, October 10, 2008, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born July 7, 1949, in Princeton, West Virginia, the son of Sam H. and Laura A. (Bridgeman) Ball. A lifetime area resident, Mr. Ball was formerly of Dorset. He was self employed as a truck driver and had lived in Jamestown, PA for many years. He was an associate pastor at several Christian Churches in the area; and he loved christian music and always enjoyed playing his guitar and ministering to nursing homes. Mr. Ball is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Marilla) Ball, whom he married July 8, 2003, of Warren,OH; six brothers, Roger, Ralph, and Johnny Ball, of Jefferson,OH, James and Allan Ball, of Andover, OH, and Marvin Ball of Dorset, OH; three sisters, Chris Fraser of Rockford, MI, Phyllis Ritchey of Ashtabula,OH, and Linda York of Kingsville, OH; three step daughters, Bridgette Lyn Thrash, Felecia J. Harris, and Sonja T. McCain, all of Warren,OH; one step son, Rev. Norman Harris II, of Warren,OH; two daughters, Donna and Angela; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Joe Edison, Jerry D., and Cecil Ball. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. Burial will follow in Cherry Valley Cemetery.
