Donald L. Church

Andover, Ohio - Donald Lee Church, Sr., age 77, died unexpectedly on Monday, February 5, 2018. He was born on April 4, 1940, in Warren, Ohio, a son of Alma (Riter) and Clarence Church. Don was a 1960 graduate of Andover High School. He worked for the former Andover Industries, the former General Electric of Andover and the former Parker Hannifin of Andover until he retired in 2002. On May 29, 1988 he married Joyce Marie (Sovesky) Fee. Don was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and was involved in the men’s club. He was a founding member of the AERIE Eagles Club of Andover and was in an Antique Bottle Club. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, pitching horseshoes, playing on a community softball league and he loved bottle digging. Don was an avid Cleveland Browns Fan. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard Rittinger and a sister Mary Howard. Survivors include his wife of nearly thirty years, Joyce Marie Church of Andover; four daughters, Yvonne M. (Phillip) Quinn and Amanda L. (Michael S.) Cunningham, Vivian (James) Buterbaugh, all of Williamsfield, Ohio, and Crystal L. (Troy Liptak) Turnbull of Orwell, Ohio; his son, Donald Lee (Rebecca) Church, Jr. of Orwell, Ohio; step daughter, Kelly L. (Jack) Burlingame of Andover, Ohio; step son Randy A. (Nancy) Fee of Williamsfield, Ohio; a brother, Russell Howard; 21 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren whom he loved spending time with. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at West Williamsfield Cemetery on Stanhope-Kelloggsville Road.
