Donald Arthur Dunbar, age 80, of Andover, OH, died at his home on Tuesday, June 5, 2007. He was born May 27, 1927, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Ray Otis Dunbar and Dorothy Knight Williams. A resident of Andover since 2000, Mr. Dunbar was formerly of Mentor. He was employed as superintendent of maintenance for Madison schools for 20 years, retiring in 1980. Mr. Dunbar was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a member of the Painesville Masonic Temple and was an avid supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. His hobbies included walking, reading,and playing cards. Mr. Dunbar is survived by his wife, Judy Ann (Longbons), whom he married Feb. 27, 2007, of Andover; his two daughters, Donna (Rick) Cook of Andover,OH, and Marjorie Dunbar of Willoughby, OH; two step sons, John (Theresa) Rossi of Painesville,OH, and George (Kelly) Rossi of Eastlake,OH; 5 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren and 1 on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Marilyn; a grandson; and his brother, William Dunbar. Mr. Dunbar will be cremated and no public services will be held.
