Donald G. Haun

Donald G. Haun, Sr., age 94, of Johnston township, Ohio, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Concord Care Center in Fowler, OH. He was born August 11, 1918, in Sharpsville, PA, a son of Arthur and Mina (Russell) Haun. A long time resident of Johnston, Mr. Haun had formerly lived in Colorado for twenty years. He was employed as an electrician for many years; and he served as a volunteer for the Johnston Township VFD. He also belonged to the Senior Citizen Center in Johnston. His hobbies included making and selling jewelry; and playing the organ. Mr. Haun is survived by a son, Bill Haun of Cortland,OH; a daughter, Beverly (Bill) Carabelos of Denver, CO; a daughter-in-law, Janet Haun of Johnston township,OH; 5 Grandchildren; and many Great Grandchildren and Great-great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 60 years, Iverne (Hill) Haun; his second wife, Muriel Fieldler; his son, Donald G. Haun, Jr. in 2011; and 6 brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013, at 1:00 PM at Johnston Cemetery, St. Rt. 5, Johnston township,OH.
