Donald R. Lowe

Donald R. Lowe, age 67, of Dorset, Ohio, passed into his eternal home on Monday, June 15, 2015. He was born September 30, 1947, in Chapmanville, WV, a son of John and Gladys (Cull) Lowe. A resident of Dorset since 1960 Mr. Lowe was a 1965 graduate of Jefferson High School. He was employed by Elkem Metals for over 17 years, retiring in 1988. He also owned and operated a small dairy farm in Dorset for many years. He is a baptized believer and member of the Pennline Church of Christ; and a grateful, humble member of AA for 31 years. Mr. Lowe was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Gloria J. (Owens) Lowe, whom he married May 5, 1985, of Dorset; a daughter, Karie (Russ) Blevins of Ashtabula, OH; a son, Dale Lowe of Andover, OH; a son, D. Jason Lowe of Dorset,OH; a daughter, Dolores (Tom) Stritch of Boy Scout, NC; a son, Jesse (Cindy) Lowe of St. Augustine, FL; step children, Kim (Jim) Fleming Walker of Perry, OH, Tom (Gretchen) Fleming of Jefferson,OH, Joshua (Cheryl) Fleming of Rock Creek,OH; one brother, John (Faye) Lowe of Delbarton, WV; and his favorite sister, Rebecca Lane of Jefferson, OH. Mr. Lowe also had many blessings of grandchildren and great grandchildren which he cherished. He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Mary Dawn Lowe; and a brother, David Lowe. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Dorset Cemetery, Marrian Rd., Dorset, OH.
