Donald Magdych

Greene Twp. - Donald Magdych, age 78, died on Wednesday, December 17, 2008, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on August 17, 1930, in Greene, Ohio, the son of the late John and Mary (Holavetski) Magdych. Mr. Magdych was the owner and operator of Don-Mur Building Corp. and built over 1,500 homes in Trumbull County. He was a part of constructing the buildings that are used by GM Lordstown, Trumbull Memorial Hospital and the former Warren G. Harding High School. Mr. Magdych was also a farmer running H&D Grain and farming his own land. He was an active member of the Greene Congregation of Jehovah's Witness. On April 2, 1951 he married Muriel Antoinette Angrimson. Mr. Magdych was an avid golfer, a fan of Maplewood's basketball team and the joy of his life was his chidren and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Julie Esposito, Kitty Fisher and Rose Knight; and two brothers, Peter and Harry Magdysh. Mr. Magdych is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Toni Magdych of Green, Ohio; two sons, Donald Kent (Rhonda)Magdych of Johnston, Ohio, and Ronald Wesley (Debra) Magdych of Moberly, Missouri; three daughters, Susan D. Magdych (Kelly) Maneer of Green, Ohio, Lorna "Leni" Magdych Peckich of Cortland, Ohio; Michelle A. Magdych of Green, Ohio; two sisters, Anne Harriman of Colfax, California and Helen (Robert) Norton of Sequim, Washington; a brother Jack (Edna) Magdych of Greene, Ohio; six grandchildren, Samantha, Maxwell and Alexandria Meneer, Mathinyah Windle, Aimalle and Royce Molina; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at 3:00pm at Greene Kingdom Hall 7995 Ashtabula Denison Road, Greene Township, with Allen J. Cole officiating. A Private burial will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Saturday, December 20th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral Home 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio.
