Donald Ray Yokes

Andover, Ohio - Donald Ray Yokes Jr., age 59, died on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pennsylvania. A life long area resident, Donnie was born on March 29, 1947, in Gary, West Virginia, to Donald R. Yokes Sr. and Julia Elizabeth (Kume) Yokes. He was a 1965 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School and was self employed as an electrician. Donnie served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict earning three Bronze Service Stars. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America and the Disabled American Veterans. Donnie enjoyed riding his 1965 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, hunting and doing woodworking. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Yokes Sr. Survivors include his mother Julia E. Yokes of Andover; two sisters, Patricia A. (Dominic) Marino of Cary, North Carolina, and Donna M. (Robert) Pelton of Andover, Ohio; nieces Kimberly Ann Pelton and Valerie Ann Marino; nephew David Michael Strack; great niece, Mikayla R. Strack and great nephew Michael R. Strack. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 21, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at West Andover Cemetery, Stanhope Kelloggsville Road, Andover, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2006 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio.
