Donna L. Luther

Donna L. Luther, 65 years old, of Kinsman, Ohio, died on Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at Andover Village Retirement Community in Andover, Ohio. Donna was born on January 1, 1939, in Irwin, PA, to the late Anthony Kren and the late Viola (Rehanek) Kren. Formerly of Irwin (Mount Pleasant), PA, Mrs. Luther was a Kinsman resident since 1960. She was a 1956 graduate of Butler Senior High School and a 1959 graduate of St. Francis Nursing School of New Castle, PA. She was a substitute school nurse for the Joseph Badger School System for many years. She also worked for Equifax services of Warren, OH, for 5 years. After moving to Kinsman, Mrs. Luther became dear friends with Mrs. Patricia Zarlengo, who precedes her in death, and Mrs. Patricia Pumphry of Andover. Mrs. Luther was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kinsman, where she was active in helping with the youth activities. She volunteered for many years for the American Red Cross Bloodmobile. Mrs. Luther enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, visits to Lake Erie and taking care of her family. She is survived by her husband, Martin S. Luther of Kinsman, OH, whom she married on July 27, 1960. She is also survived by her son, Eric M. (Kelly O'Donnell) Luther of West Chester, OH; her son, Jeffrey M. Luther of Grove City, PA; her daughter, Laura L. (Steve) Scott of Oak Ridge, TN; her son, Brian M. (Kimberly) Luther of Chardon, OH; her sister, Lois (Edward) Tashjian of Bay Village, OH; and grandchildren, Kevin, Alec, and Erin Luther; and grandchildren, Jonah and Amie Scott. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2004, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 6397 St. Rt. 87, Kinsman, Ohio, at 11:00a.m. with Father David M. Misbrener officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 30, 2004, at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. A Rosary ceremony will be held at 5:30p.m. before the calling hours.
