Donna J. McCurdy

Wayne, Ohio - Donna J. McCurdy, age 71, died at her home on Saturday, June 27, 2015. She was born on July 15, 1943, in Farrell, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Jessie (Szulecka) and Cassimer Wojtanoski. Formerly of Girard and Youngstown, Ohio, Donna was a 1961 graduate of Farrell High School. On October 28, 1972 she married Donald Robert McCurdy. Along with her husband she owned and operated "The Little Store" on the square in Andover, Ohio since 1992. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory, in Andover, Ohio as well as the churches Garden Club and was know to help keep the churches flower beds looking beautiful. Donna was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Andover. She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren as well as flower and vegetable gardening. Donna is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald R. McCurdy, Sr. and a brother, Gene Wojtanoski. Survivors include two sons, Donald R. (Kathy) McCurdy, Jr. of Richmond Heights, Ohio and Richard B. McCurdy; grandchildren, Donald, David, Jesica, Cole and Caden and a brother, Donald (Barbara) Wojtanoski of Okeechobee, Florida. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 1:00pm at Hayes Cemetery on Hayes Road in Wayne, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 2nd from 11:00am until Noon at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio.
