Doris J. Reeves

DORIS J. REEVES, age 75, of Gustavus, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio. She was born March 7, 1932, in Greene, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Hugh P. and Lura (Walker) McClimans. Mrs. Reeves was a graduate of Jamestown High School, Jamestown, PA. A long time Gustavus resident, Mrs. Reeves worked for the GE Plant in Warren, OH, for twenty five years, retiring in 1992. Following retirement, she worked at Aulizio's Banquet Center in Niles. She was a member of the Gustavus Federated Church; and her hobbies included reading, cooking, gardening, and traveling. Her greatest enjoyment was her family. Mrs. Reeves married George T. Reeves, Jr. on July 2, 1951, and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1993. Also preceding her in death are her parents; one sister, Lola Shine; and two brothers, Laverne and Donald McClimans. She is survived by daughter, Carmen E. (Robert) Campana of Southington,OH, son, Alan L. (Cynthia) Reeves of Greene township, OH, daughter, Cherie L. (Caesar) Aulizio of Kinsman,OH, daughter, Cheryl A. (Raymond) Sypert of Johnston township, OH, daughter, Michelle R. (Steven) Bosak of Middlefield,OH; 14 Grandchildren; and 5 Great Grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, OH, with Jon Pratt officiating. Private burial of cremated remains will take place in Gustavus Cemetery at a later time. Calling hours will be on Friday, October 19th from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to any local hospice organization.
