Dorothy Marie Amy

CHERRY VALLEY- Dorothy Marie Amy, age 93, died on Saturday, June 1, 2019, in Greenville, Pennsylvania. She was born on February 1, 1926 in Jamestown, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Edna Rachel (Templeton) and Curtis Miller Harnett. On December 16, 1949 she married Harold Miletus Amy. Dorothy worked for the former Cleveland Press Newspaper until she became the store manager of the Orwell Nichols Bakery. She enjoyed gardening and loved to paint. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold M. Amy; a sister, Leona Thompson and three brothers, Roy Harnett, Edward Harnett and Glenn Harnett. Survivors include her two sons, Randall M. (Pamela) Amy of Richmond, Ohio and Allan M. (Cathy) Amy of Mantua, Ohio; five grandchildren, Justin, Erin, Shannon, Zachary and Ericka; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mable Streator of Warren, Ohio and Edna Fick of Williamsfield, Ohio; three brothers, Donald Harnett of Vernon, Ohio, James (Nancy) Harnett of Hadley, Pennsylvania and Lee (Sherry) Harnett of Jamestown, Pennsylvania. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with The Rev. Dr. Jerry R. Fritz officiating. Burial will follow in Williamsfield Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 4th from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
