Middlefield, Ohio - Dorothy Grace Buckley, age 82, died on Friday, October 22, 2010, at Briar Hill Health Care Residence. She was born on January 4, 1928, in Swissvale, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Dorothy Grace (Baker) and Frank Norman Winkle. A Cherry Valley resident for over twenty-three years, Mrs. Buckley managed the Whippy Dip in Pierpont, Ohio for many years. She was also employed by Andover Industries. On June 15, 1946 she married Harry Robert Buckley. Mrs. Buckley was formerly a member of the First Baptist Church of Andover and the North Bloomfield Assembly of God. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, painting; singing and playing gutiar and spending time with her family. Mrs. Buckley is preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Buckley; a son, Richard Earl Buckley; two great granddaughters, Alexis Woolley and Trinity Rose Buckley; two brothers, Frank and William Winkle and a son-in-law, Edgar G. Hindle. Survivors include three daughters, Janice M. (Randy) Swygart of Decatur, Indiana, Carolyn L. (Richard) Grigus of Chardon, Ohio, and Carol A. Hindle of Cherry Valley, Ohio; two sons, Larry R. (Brenda) Buckley of Conneaut, Ohio, and Gary L. (Karen) Buckley of Champion, Ohio; a brother, Robert D. (Elanda) Winkle of Hartstown, Pennsylvania; sixteen grandchildren; forty-four great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 1:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio, with Rev. James G. Wimer officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Glen Cemetery in Adamsville, Pennsylvania. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 25th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
