Dorothy L. Cator, age 84, died on April 28, 2008. She was born on June 11, 1923, in Hartstown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Rex H. and Helen M. (Hays) Canon. A Gustavus resident for over forty-five years, she was formerly of Cortland, spending the last year in Niles, Ohio. She was a 1942 graduate of Greenville High School, and a graduate of Meadville's School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse and worked in Hospital's in Meadville, Philadelphia and Warren, Pennsylvania and Lansing, Michigan. Mrs. Cator was a sales representative for the Stanley Company for many years. She was a member of the Gustavus Federated Church, as well as the Gustavus Mothers Club and Historical Society and a member of the former Burdette Totten Post no. 6263 V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Cator enjoyed bowling, and collecting stamps and state quarters. She is preceded in death by her husband of forty-seven years, Ralph A. Cator, whom she married on June 13, 1945. Also preceding her in death is a sister Florence Mae Peterson. Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl A. (Paul) Dunn of Valrico, Florida; a son Larry J. (Sandra) Cator of Niles, Ohio; a brother, Carl L. (Agnes) Canon of Akron, Ohio; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. Karl L. Bucey officiating. Burial will follow in Gustavus Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 1st from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gustavus Federated Church, P.O.
