Dorothy E. Elser

Kinsman, Ohio - Dorothy E. Elser, age 80, died on December 17, 2009, in Warren, Ohio. She was born on May 9, 1929, in Lake Milton, Ohio, the daughter of C. Luella (Kutz) and Kenneth Howard. Mrs. Elser retired from Sajar Plastic Company of Middlefield, Ohio after many years of service. On April 27, 1947 she married Klare Merle Elser, Sr. Mrs. Elser enjoyed playing bingo, going to Mountaineer with her friends and carrying for her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty-two years; two sons, Kenneth and Terry Elser; a granddaughter, Nicole Bates; a sister, Betty Lay and two brothers, Donald and George Howard. Survivors include six daughters, Donna B. (Harry) Houser of Kinsman, Ohio, Luinda A. (John) Johnson of Masury, Ohio, Barbara J. (Tom) Craig, Betty L. (Rick) Short, Darlene M. (John) Gooding all of Kinsman, Ohio, Tammy L. (Joel) Foster of Hartford, Ohio; five sons, Klare M. (Diana) Jr. of Warren, Ohio, Keith W. (Barb) of Southington, Ohio, Krist M. (Nancy) of Bristol, Ohio, Kerry R. (Margaret) and Kevin D. Elser both of Kinsman, Ohio; two brothers, Russell (Ina) Howard of Leavittsburg, Ohio and Tom Howard of Johnston, Ohio; 35 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 7:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral Home 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with Pastor John W. Talkington officiating. Private burial will follow in West View Cemetery in Vernon, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 20th from 6:00pm until the time of services.
