Dorothy M. Kent

Dorothy M. Kent, 90 years old, died on Thursday, July 15, 2004, in Sharon Regional Health System in Sharon, PA. Dorothy was born on February 5, 1914, in Warren, PA, to the late Raymond H. Betts and the late Mary C. (Lucy) Betts. Formerly of Andover, Mrs. Kent had lived in the Sharon/Hermitage, PA, area for the past 15 years. She was a costmetologist and had also sold real estate for Spieth Realty in Andover for many years. She was a member of the Warren Seventh Day Adventist Church in Warren, Ohio, and the 55 and Over Club in Andover. Mrs. Kent enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and plants. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert C. Roche in 1973; her second husband, Nelson "Johnny" Kent in 1989; her daughter, Carole A. Yarbrough; her son, Russell J. Gordon; and her sisters, Ruth McClintock and Helen Covel. She is survived by her daughter, Margo G. Gordon of West Middlesex, PA; her step daughter, Mary Ann Ferguson of Geneva, OH; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover, on Saturday, July 17, 2004, at 1:00p.m. No calling hours will be held.
