Dorothy L. Lewis

Andover, Ohio-Dorothy L. Lewis, age 72, died peacefully on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on July 20, 1939, in Willoughby, Ohio, the daughter of Dorothy (Phillips) and John Hodson. For many years Dotti was a nursing assistant for the former Miller Memorial Nursing Home. She was a member of the AERIE Eagles Club of Andover. Dotti enjoyed playing bingo, enjoyed canning, cooking, flower gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren and loved her dog "Chuckles". She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles A. Lewis, who she married on January 4, 1957 and her son Charles W. Lewis; two sisters, Wilma Sterling and Jean Brant and two brothers, Al and John Hodson. Survivors include two daughters, Tami L. (Tony) Mongenel of Ashtabula, Ohio, Traci L. (Joe) Buie of Jefferson, Ohio; three sons, Lenny J. (Katie) Lewis of Leetonia, Ohio, Robert P. (Julie) Lewis and Russell A. (Pam) Lewis both of Andover, Ohio; a sister, Kay Foltz of Conneaut, Ohio; thirty grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and special friends, Carol & Jim Wheeler, Victor House and Jill Lewis. A service will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 7:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Services, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday October 19th from 4:00pm until the time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
