Lenox, Ohio â�" Dorothy M. Lewis, age 72, died on Sunday, February 3, 2008, at Meadville Medical Center. She was born on August 30, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Daisy (Gerdes) Lempke. Mrs. Lewis was a 1953 graduate of North Ridgeville High School. She was the owner and operator of Kelleyâ�™s Bait Shop in Andover, Ohio for over twenty-five years. Mrs. Lewis was a member of the National Pork Producers. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, knitting, gambling and hosting parties. Mrs. Lewis is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of forty-nine years, Gary Lewis, whom she married in 1954. Survivors include five sons, Patrick A. (Tracy) Baxter of Midway, Pennsylvania, Robert D. (Laura) Baxter of Newport, New Hampshire, Donald S. Baxter of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, Thomas Baxter of Seville, Ohio, and James (Lisa) Baxter of Roanoke, Virginia; her companion Lenny W. Shaw of Lenox, Ohio; a sister Diane Stiffler of Olmsted Falls, Ohio; two brothers, Arnold Lempke of Olmsted Falls, and Ronald Lempke of Elyria, Ohio; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Baumgardner Funeral Home, Andover, Ohio handled the arrangements.
