Dorothy May Hopson

Andover, Ohio - Dorothy M. Hopson, age 67, died on Wednesday, June 17, 2009. She was born on January 6, 1942, the daughter of Carl R. and Adelaide E. (Cadmes) Brockway. Mrs. Hopson enjoyed making crafts, and ceramics, sewing and playing cards and dice. She is preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Adelaide Richardson, Adeline Stieninger, Esther Border and Katheryn Brockway; one brother Carl E. Brockway. Survivors include seven sons, Richard C. "Buster" (Karen) Mick of Castalia, Ohio, Alan D. (Claudette) Mick of Carleton, Michigan, Thomas W. (Karen) Mick of Conneaut, Ohio, Ronald G. (Fay) Mick and Rodney N. "Sonny" (Linda) Mick both of Richmond, Ohio, R. Carl Hopson of Leavittsburg, Ohio and Brock M. Hopson of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Mona (Bill) Donahue of Huron, Michigan, Flora (Jerry) Riopelle of Allen Park, Michigan and Helen Udell of Modesto, California; two brothers, C.A. Brockway of Tucson, Arizona and Robert (Jennette) Brockway of Nashville, Tennessee; 22 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 1:00p.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio with Pastor Richard C. Mick officiating. Burial will follow in Mechanicsville Cemetery in Austinburg Township. Calling hours will be on Friday, June 26th from 11:00a.m. until the time of services.
