Dorothy R. Raymond

Dorothy R. Raymond, age 85, of Cherry Valley, Ohio, died on Monday, December 5, 2011, at Jefferson Health Care Center. She was born January 5, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of John and Agnes (Slatkovsky) Olejnik. Mrs. Raymond was a homemaker; and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Andover where she belonged to the Altar & Rosary Society and Mission Society. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and crafts. Mrs. Raymond is survived by her husband, Elwood W. Raymond, whom she married August 3, 1946, of Cherry Valley; six daughters, Donna M. Kaltenbach of Perry, Ohio, Kathleen A. Raymond of Willowick, Ohio, Janet R. Takacs of Parkman, Ohio, Lois J. Dutton of Austinburg, Ohio, Diane Smith of Buellton, California, and Joyce E. Ammons of Greenville, Pennsylvania; one son, Douglas J. Raymond of Geneva, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jeffrey E. Raymond in 1971; and her sister, Helen Connelly. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, December 9, 2011, at 11:00am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 481 S. Main St., Andover, OH, with Rev. Kevin McCaffrey officiating. Rosary will be said at 9:00am on Friday, with calling hours from 9:30am until 11:00am at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio.
