Dorothy E. Stevens, age 75, of Kinsman,OH, died Saturday, July 25, 2009 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, OH. She was born September 11, 1933, in Greene township, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Katherine (Crouch) Smith. A long time Kinsman resident, Mrs. Stevens was employed by the Blazon Toy Factory in Jamestown, PA. She served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict serving state side in the U.S. Army Band. She was a member of the Harry Lees Post 506 American Legion, Kinsman; and she enjoyed playing Bingo, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, reading, and music. Mrs. Stevens married Paul L. Stevens on June 2, 1956; and he preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 2001. Also preceding her in death are her parents; three brothers, Arthur, Robert, and Emerson Smith; and three sisters, Evelyn Meister, Arlene Brownlee, and Helen Herbert. She is survived by her two sons, Donald P. (Dana) Stevens of Clovis, CA, and Brian E. (Patty) Stevens of Kinsman,OH; two sisters, Mary Tretera of Farmdale,OH, and Phyllis Smith of Vienna, OH,; three brothers, Frederick Smith, Gene Smith, and Earl Smith , all of Farmdale, OH; four grandchildren, Matthew P. (Jeannie) Stevens of Bamberg, Germany, Cassandra M. and Mary E. Stevens, both of Fresno, CA, and Michael E. Stevens of Kinsman, OH; a great grandson, Mason J. Stevens and a great granddaughter, Peyton E. Stevens, both of Bamberg, Germany. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, OH. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery.
