Dorrance Edward Mook

Williamsfield, Ohio - Dorrance Edward Mook, III, age 52, died suddenly on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio. He was born on August 7, 1963, a son of Mary Jayne (Dickey) and Dorrance Edward Mook, Jr. Ed was a 1981 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School. As a child he attended the West Williamsfield Congregational Church and was later baptized. He was a man of many trades and was employed by Penteir in Chardon for 15 years and also CTS Construction, Inc. He loved spending time with his four children, always there to lend assistance with their 4H projects like raising pigs. Ed enjoyed hunting, kayaking, and snowmobile riding. He is preceded in death by his father; an infant daughter, Gabriel J. Mook ; paternal grandparents, Hattie (Enssle) and Dorrance Edward Mook, Sr., and maternal grandparents, Ruth Elizabeth (Duncan) and James Howard Dickey, Sr. Survivors include his daughter, Raquel J. Mook; three sons, Dorrance E. Mook, IV, Dakota E. Mook and Dillon E. Mook, all of Pierpont, Ohio; his mother, Mary Jayne Mook of Andover, Ohio; two sisters, Ruth Ann (Nathan) Guman of Kinsman, Ohio, and Margaret Ann (Todd) Thurber of Andover, Ohio; a brother, Roger A. Mook of Andover, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and his longtime companion, Julie Ferryman of Williamsfield, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover,OH. Burial will follow in West Andover Cemetery.
