Dorthea L. Grennan, 72 years old, of Cherry Valley Township, OH, died on Thursday, February 12, 2004, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Andover, Ohio. Dorthea was born on April 12, 1931, to the late Henry Sanford and the late Anna rose (Walker) Sanford. A former long time Richmond township resident, Mrs. Grennan has been living with her children for the past six years. She owned and operated the Old Flea's Hideout in Richmond Center with her husband for many years. Mrs. Grennan attended the Hartsgrove Assembly of Christ Church. Dorthea married Alexander L. Grennan on July 1, 1961. He died September 12, 1998. Also preceding her in death are her parents; a grandson, Lawrence Henry Stoltz; a sister, Glora Sanford; and a brother, Neville Sanford. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Diane Stoltz of Dorset, OH; her son, Richard T. Darby of Cherry Valley Township, OH; her daughter, Karen Ann Pentz of Winston-Salem, NC; her two sisters, Eleanor Skidmore and Gayle Kasola, both of Rainelle, WV; her eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 16, 2004, at 11:00a.m. at Baumgardner Fuenral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio. Burial will follow in Richmond Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
