E. DAVID LEWIS, age 69, of Andover, Ohio, died Monday, August 18, 2008, at home. He was born August 7, 1939, in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, to Allen J. and Velma (Cole) Lewis. A long time Andover resident, Mr. Lewis was a former iron worker for the Local Ironworkers Union #17. He was a member of the Conneaut Church of God in Bushnell, OH; and he enjoyed camping, hunting, blue grass music, watching television, playing cards with his family, and traveling back to his home state of West Virginia. Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Earlene M. (Cole) Lewis, whom he married August 20, 1961, of Andover; four sons, Mike (Karen) Lewis of Andover, OH, Branton Lewis of Dorset, OH, Eric (Tracy) Lewis of Warren, OH, and Chris (Rose) Lewis of Andover, OH; fifteen grandchildren, Kevin, Elijah, Dustin, Dakota, Amanda, Melissa, John-Winston, David, Christian, Rebecca, Landon, Laurelyn, Logan, Emily, and Laura; ten great grandchildren, Tyler, McKenzie, Elizabeth, Alexis, Trinity, Paige, Adrian, Rachel, Aiden, and Makaylee, with another grandson due in a week, to be named Devin; and family friend, Carie Gorby. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Cassie Zell; eight brothers, Jasper, Buzzie, Melvin, Fraley, Manuel, Jimmy, Kenny, and Chuck Lewis; two infant sisters; and one grandson, Mitchell David-Dwight Lewis. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 10:00 A.M. at the Conneaut Church of God, 5357 St. Rt. 7, Bushnell,OH, with Pastor Ray Lamb officiating. There will be no calling hours. A dinner for family and friends will be held following the memorial service at the home of Chris and Rose Lewis, 6652 Fenkell Rd., Andover.
