Andover, Ohio - E. Duane Offutt, age 63, died on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at his home. A lifetime area resident, Mr. Offutt was born on June 8, 1944, in Cortland, Ohio, the son of Enos and Birta (Nitz) Offutt. An automotive whiz, Mr. Offutt worked for GM Smith-Gray of Meadville, Pennsylvania for many years. He also drove truck for Landstar Ranger out of Alabama for several years. He was a member of the Automotive Guild and enjoyed working on drag racing cars. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and cooking. Mr. Offutt is preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Berneal Cottrill, Barbara Ellen Offutt and Louella M. Cobb. Survivors include his wife Kim (Brewer) Offutt of Andover; four daughters, Lisa Marie Offutt of Greenville, Pennsylvania, Rebecca J. (Clint) Wright of Cortland, Ohio, and Roberta "Cissy" (Dave) Benedict of Williamsfield, Ohio; Tonya Marie Becker of Austinburg, Ohio, two sisters, Patsy L. (Don) Lautanen of New Lyme, Ohio, and Betty J. Hedrick of Frankfort, Kentucky; a brother Donald R. (Janis) Offutt and seven grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 29th at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover, Ohio.
