Earl A. Starling, 61 years old, of Kinsman, Ohio, died on Monday, July 11, 2005 at home. Earl was born on January 15, 1944, in Kinsman, Ohio, to the late Alvin Starling and the late Rose (Parthemer) Starling. A lifetime Kinsman resident, Mr. Starling served in the United States Army. He was employed by Sims Buick in Warren and John Rugala in Andvoer as an auto mechanic and service manager for many years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kinsman. He was also a member of the Penn-Ohio bowling traveling league, having bowled three perfect games; and the "Only the Best" Club. Mr. Starling earned the Service Manager of the Year award in 1988, and he served as Little League coach for his children's teams. He was an avid NASCAR racing fan, and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, bowling, and playing pool. Mr. Starling married Mavis A. (Tribby) on June 4, 1966. He was preceded in death by his parents; a great granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Hines; and a sister, Barbara Coxson. He is survived by his wife, Mavis A. Starling of Kinsman, OH; his daughter, April (Travis) Hochstetler of Kinsman, OH; his two sons, David (Natalie) Starling of Plymouth, MI; and Jay (Heather) Starling of Madison, OH; his two brothers, Charles (Gertrude) Starling of Kinsman, OH; and Roy (Ruth) Starling of Kinsman, OH; his sister, Clara Somerville of Farmdale, OH; grandchildren, Nicole Hines of Kinsman, OH; Andrew Brooks of Kinsman, OH; Taylor Brooks of Kinsman, OH; and Matthew Starling of Madison, OH; and one grandchild due in December. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2005, at 11:00a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, St. Rt. 87, Kinsman, Ohio, with Father David Misbrener officiating. Burial will follow in West View Cemetery in Vernon Township, Ohio. Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 13th from 6p.m. to 9p.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, Ohio.
