Edgar Grant Hindle

Cherry Valley, Ohio - Edgar Grant Hindle, age 74, died on Friday, October 8, 2010, after an extended illness. He was born on June 2, 1936, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, the son of Anna Mary (Houston) and Edwin Justin Hindle. Mr. Hindle served in the United States Marine Corps and was very proud of being a marine. He worked for Rock Creek Combustion Engineering. Mr. Hindle married Carol Ann Buckley on August 24, 1968. He formerly was a member of the First Baptist Church of Andover. Mr. Hindle enjoyed woodworking, glass etching, fishing, classic cars, and traveling. He loved to take pictures and spend time with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his infant twin sister, Coletta; an infant sister, Pamela Kate; three sisters, Bernice Holmes, Vivian Hindle and Murriel Sauers; three brothers, James, Jack and Robert Hindle. Survivors include his wife of forty-two years, Carol Ann Hindle of Cherry Valley, Ohio; two daughters, Dottie A. (Dan) Easton of Cherry Valley, Ohio and Jennifer R. (Mark) Jordan of Williamsfield, Ohio; three sisters, Betty Geidner of Andover, Ohio, Pamela Henley of Montivello, Alabama and Barbara Smith of Venango, Pennsylvania; two brothers, J. Mike Hindle of Venango, Pennsylvania and Lloyd Hindle of Weeki Wachee, Florida; five grandchildren, Josh, Mark Jr., Samantha, Sabrina and Curtis; and nine great grandchildren, Courtney, Mathew, Carley, Tristin, Bella, Brittney, Hayleigh, Ty and McKenna. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 12 Noon to 2 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. Cremation will follow.
