Edith J. Idle, age 99, of Niles, Ohio, died Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. She was born December 20, 1915, in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of Dennis and Laura (Knoff) Henderson. A long time Williamsfield and Kinsman resident, Mrs. Idle lived in Niles for the past four years. She was employed at the Times Square Restaurant in Kinsman; and was a member of the Kinsman United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Social Arts Club; and she enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, knitting and crocheting. Mrs. Idle married Floyd R. Idle on May 16, 1936. He died September 6, 1996. Also preceding her in death are her parents; and twin sisters, Faye Hall and Flo Svenson. She is survived by her daughter, Belva (Raymond) Barto of Kinsman,OH; her son, Lee (Ann) Idle of Burghill, OH; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at 1:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH, with Rev. David McKinnon officiating. Burial will follow in Williamsfield Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
