Edward M. Billig

Edward M. Billig, age 77, of Andover, OH, died Thursday, April 23, 2015, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA. He was born November 29, 1937, in Sharon, PA, the son of George and Viola J. (Kuhn) Billig. A resident of Andover for the past 2 years, Mr. Billig was formerly of Niles, OH. He was a graduate of Brookfield High School; and attended Denison University, Youngstown State University, and earned his Associate Degree in Automobile Mechanics from Kent State University. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He was employed as a welder for thirty years; and was also employed as an auto mechanic for Sohio Procare in Youngstown. He enjoyed making jewelry and going to the horse races. Mr. Billig is survived by his wife, Olivia L. (Meredith) Billig, whom he married November 17, 1973, of Andover, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Billig will be cremated and no services held.
