Edward W. Morrison, age 76, of Andover, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Andover Village Retirement Community where he was a resident for the past three weeks. Edward was born October 12, 1932, in Orangeville, Ohio, the son of Raymond and Mabel (Apthorpe) Morrison. He served on the Battleship Missouri during the Korean Conflict. After coming home he was employed by the A & P Tea Co. as a meat cutter for the next 36 years moving from store to store until retirement. His hobbies included gardening, raising flowers, eating out, taking short trips, and enjoying mother nature. Edward is survived by his wife, Delora I. (Derr) Morrison of Andover; his son, Gary (Joyce) Morrison of Cherry Valley Township, OH; his brother, Jerry Morrison of Brookfield,OH; three grandchildren, Gary Morrison, Jr., Jennifer Popowich and Michelle Lather; and nine great grandchildren, Felicia, Gary III, Connor, Kimberly, and Savanna Morrison, Paul, Luke, and Caleb Popowich, and Summer Lather. He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Fred and Donny Morrison. Friends and family are welcome to attend a memorial service on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 4:00 P.M. at the Cherry Valley First Church of God, 2983 Sentinel Rd., Dorset, OH 44032. A dinner will follow.
