Edwin Joseph Gracyk,

EDWIN JOSEPH GRACYK, SR., age 84, of Gustavus Township, OH, died Monday, August 14, 2006 at Andover Village Retirement Community. He was born October 28, 1921, in Orwell, Ohio, to Zigmund and Francis (Kowalski) Gracyk. A lifelong area resident, Mr. Gracyk was employed by Standard Transformer in Warren,OH, retiring 26 years ago. He was a member of the Greene Nazarene Church, where he taught Sunday School to the Jr. Boys. He served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II. Mr. Gracyk enjoyed drawing and he loved birds. Mr. Gracyk is survived by his wife, Ruth E. (Post) Gracyk, whom he married May 6, 1950; his son, Edwin Gary Gracyk, Jr., of Gustavus Township, OH; his daughter, Sandy Lee Gracyk Leopardi of Hudson,OH; three grandsons, Joshua Gracyk, Jimmy and Johnny Leopardi; and one brother, Harry Gracyk of Middlefield, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Edward Kuszepeski and Robert Gracyk, and two sisters, Dorothy Kravcsin and Denna Atkins. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 12:00 Noon at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, OH. Burial will follow in Gustavus Cemetery.
