Farrell, Pennsylvania - Edwin M. Hover, age 60, died on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at his home in Farrell, Pennsylvania. He was born on December 31, 1947, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Herold W. and Lillian E. (Bauer) Hover. A Farrell resident for the past four years, he was formerly of Vienna, Ohio and Gustavus, Ohio. Mr. Hover was a 1965 graduate of Joseph Badger High School. In 1968 he joined the United States Navy. He was an aviation mechanic, and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer after twenty years of service in the Navy. Mr. Hover was a member of the American Legion in Farrell, Pennsylvania and Girard, Ohio. He enjoyed woodcrafting and fishing; and he was a NASCAR fan and raced Mini Stock cars. Mr. Hover is preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his father, Herold W. Hover of Gustavus, Ohio; a brother, Stanton L. Hover of Warren, Ohio; a sister, Joyce H. Byrd of Howland, Ohio; two daughters, Holly L. Newcomb of Yorktown, Virginia and Melissa L. (Kenvir)Teeter of Norfolk, Virginia; four grandchildren, Ashleigh, Todd, Dakota, Shaylynne; and friends, Anthony and Karen DeNoi of Farrell, Pennsylvania. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2008, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral Home 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. A Military Service will be held at 4:00pm at the end of calling hours at the funeral home. Private burial will be held in Gustavus Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
