Edwin W. Wynn

Andover, Ohio - Edwin W. Wynn, age 50, died at his home on Wednesday, September 28, 2011. He was born on May 10, 1961 in Augsburg, Germany, the son of Carolyn Ernestine (Adkins) and Weswood Fernan Wynn. Ed was a 1979 graduate of Phoebus High School in Hampton, Virginia. He served in the National Guard, Army Reserve and the United States Army for over twenty years and retired in 2007. On October 18, 1985 he married Ada C. Blankenship. Ed attended the Pymatuning Community Church in Andover, Ohio. He belonged to the American Legion and was a member of the Chickahominy Indian Tribe of Virginia. Ed enjoyed fishing, bowling, drawing, and was a history buff especially the civil war. He enjoyed playing video games, watching movies and TV and listening to music. He helped coach baseball and soccer for his sons teams and was an active scout leader for Boy Scouts of America and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. Ed is preceded in death by his father, Weswood F. Wynn. Survivors include his wife of twenty-five years, Ada C. Wynn of Andover, Ohio; three sons, Andrew S. Wynn of Dorset, Ohio, Christopher L. (Candice) Wynn of Cortland, Ohio and William C. Wynn of Andover, Ohio; his mother, Carolyn E. Wynn of Hampton, Virginia; a sister, Yvonne Wynn of Hampton, Virginia and two grandchildren, Brianna and Braiden. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 1:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Burial will follow in Williamsfield Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1st from 11:00am until the time of services.
