Vernon, Ohio - Eileen M. Coxson, age 71, died on Thursday, August 13, 2009. She was born on May 13, 1938, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Helen (Zurko) and John Nashtock. Mrs. Coxson was a 1956 graduate of Sharpsville High School. She was the book secretary in charge of the entire curriculum for Corinth Christian Academy for over fifteen years, retiring in 1995. On July 7, 1956 she married Bruce E. Coxson. Mrs. Coxson was a member of the Rock of Grace Family Ministry Church of Vernon, Ohio, where she volunteered in the nursery for many years. When her children were young she was involved and volunteered for the school PTA and at their many activities, which included her being a Girl Scout leader in Vernon for many years. Mrs. Coxson enjoyed reading and gardening and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John and Jim Nashtock. Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years, Bruce E. Coxson of Vernon, Ohio; two sons, Bruce M. Coxson of Vernon, Ohio and Scott E. (Sandi) Coxson of Lake Worth, Florida; four daughters, Sharon K. (Christopher) Carlson of Raleigh, North Carolina, Kim S. (Ray) Willey of Gadsden, Alabama, Melinda A. Dean of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, and Sherry L. Willey of Sioux Falls, North Dakota; two brothers, Michael (Judy) Nashtock of Sharpsville, Pennsylvania and Thomas (Pamela) Nashtock of Cortland, Ohio; a sister, Patricia (Herb) Ramm of Vernon, Ohio and thirteen grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 11:00am at Rock of Grace Family Ministries, State Route 5, Kinsman, Ohio with Rev. Mark Biel officiating. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 16th from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Kinsman Food Bank.
