Elaine K. Quigley

Johnston, Ohio - Elaine K. Quigley, age 83, died on Saturday, September 12, 2009. She was born on September 30, 1925, in Morrisville, Pennsylvania the daughter of Florence M. (Harrington) and William J. Reed. Formerly of Trenton, New Jersey, Mrs. Quigley was a 1945 graduate of Trenton High School. On March 11, 1950 she married Robert Phillps Quigley and in 1963 they moved to Johnston, Ohio. She was a member of the Johnston Federated United Methodist Church and the women's Suzanne Circle. Mrs. Quigley enjoyed quilting, knitting, sewing, going bowling and collected bells. Mrs. Quigley is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of thirty-five years, Robert P. Quigley, an infant daughter, Barbara; a daughter, Elaine Way and a brother William Reed. Survivors include two sons, Robert J. Quigley of Cortland, Ohio and Kenneth P. (Christine) Quigley of Johnston, Ohio; a sister, Florence Durand of Stewartville, Minnesota; a brother, Frank Reed of Avon Park, Florida; a son-in-law, Charles Way of Flagstaff, Arizona and four grandchildren, Charles R. Way, Elizabeth J. (Daniel) Waltz, Amanda J. Quigley and Robert L. Quigley. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A private graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Trenton New Jersey.
