Eleanore B. Adair, age 92, of Cherry Valley township,OH, died Sunday, October 16, 2016, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, OH. She was born March 13, 1924, in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of Joseph and Barbara (Bronczek) Pajak. A long time Cherry Valley resident, Mrs. Adair is formerly of Parma and Richfield, Ohio; and was a 1942 graduate of Parma Schaaf High School. She served as the first policewoman on the Parma Police Department. She was employed as a clerk for Kresge's in Broadview Heights and KMart in Seven Hills,OH for many years. Mrs. Adair enjoyed going on casino trips, doing puzzles, and watching hummingbirds at the feeder; and she was an avid reader. Mrs. Adair is survived by her husband, Robert I. Adair, whom she married July 30, 1955, of Cherry Valley township,OH; her three daughters, Shane Marie (Michael) Roginski of Cherry Valley township,OH, Cheance Denise Adair of San Diego, CA, and Holiday Eve Adair of Pittsburgh, PA; one granddaughter, Emily Rose Adair of Pittsburgh, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her one brother, Frank Spider; and two sisters, Josephine Pavlovicz and Helen Dimitruk. Mrs. Adair will be cremated and a private memorial service held at a later date.
