Eloise Ann Purtilo

Eloise Ann Purtilo, age 74, of Andover, Ohio, died Thursday, October 21, 2010, at Jefferson Health Care Center. She was born February 2, 1936, in Andover, Ohio, a daughter of Elmer and Elizabeth (Bailey) Kukkola. Mrs. Purtilo was a 1954 graduate of Jefferson High School. Formerly of Ashtabula, she attended the Zion Lutheran Church. She has been a long time Andover resident; and was a former member of the Eastern Star, Pierpont, OH. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, reading, traveling, and puzzles. Mrs. Purtilo is survived by her husband, Robert E. Purtilo, whom she married October 25, 1957, of Andover; her daughter, Karen (Christopher) Wivell of Painesville, OH; her four grandchildren, Kenneth Scott Purtilo and Robert Joseph Purtilo, both of Geneva, OH, and Elizabeth Ann Wivell and Catherine Helen Wivell, both of Painesville, OH; her great granddaughter, Carissa Purtilo of Hartsgrove, OH; her two sisters, Betty Elene Laughlin of Conneaut, OH, and Emily Florence Grimes of Auburndale, FL; her nieces, Debra E. Latva of Conneaut, OH, and Valerie Grimes of Auburndale, FL; and many step nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Kenneth Purtilo. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH, with Rev. Don Coulter officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, North Kingsville, OH. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
