Ernesta A. Lowry

Ernesta "Nestie" Lowry, age 72, of Andover, OH, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017, at her home. She was born Dec. 19, 1944, in Youngstown,OH, a daughter of Albert and Dorothy (Hoover) Comstock. Nestie worked for many years at local restaurants like The Diner and the Wishing Well in Andover and the Rock Creek Diner. In later years she worked at Pizza Hut in Belpre, OH. She loved to read and in her later years coloring with colored pencils. Her biggest enjoyment in life were her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She loved to attend all of her grandchildrens' and great grandchildrens' events. Nestie loved life and always had a smile on her face. She is survived by her three daughters, Terri Ball of Andover, Pamela Giddings of Geneva, OH, and Carol Brewer Bilek of Andover, OH; her son, Thomas (Laressia) Brewer of Conneaut, OH; her step children, Susan Ball of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Pamela Brewer of Arkansas, Kim Brewer of Ashtabula, OH, Lisa Schaffer, Johnny Lowry, Lori Lowry, and Keith Lowry, all of southern Ohio; her two sisters, Eunicia "Marie" Maple of Ashtabula, OH, and Jean Alfonsi of Kinsman,OH; Grandchildren, Mindy (Danny) Metz, Teresa (Roger) Dean, William (Melissa) Strang, Jessica (Aaron) Haapala,Mary Ann VanWinkle, Yvonne Luther, Jonathan Johnson, Devonna (Ryan) Walker, Nicole Williams, Jarrod Ball, William (Dara) Eberwein, Nathaniel (Twyla) Eberwein, Joshua Eberwein, Becky Wright, Matthew (Monica) Griffin, Brittany Griffin, Robert (Christina) Lane, Bridget (Ryan) Running, Jennifer (Chris) Brewer, Samantha (Krys) Bilek, Dennis Bilek Jr., Lela Brewer; Great Grandchildren, Hunter, Bradyn, and Mitchell Metz, Mariah and Sierra Dean, Patrick (Tina) Mills, William and Timmy Strang, David and Erynn Haapala, Brian and Megan (Justin) VanWinkle, Susie Howell, Brooklyn and Riley Williams, Caliope Richman, Nya Eberwein, Jarred Wright, Tyler and McKensie Griffin, David Dixon, Joshua and Matthew Lane, John Fogle IV, Kaleb, Rylance, and Brently Running, Bryson Brewer, Hayden and Austin Thompson, and Aiden Nash;1 Great Great Granddaughter, Jessica McElroy; 9 Nieces and Nephews; and 29 Great Nieces and Nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her 2nd husband, John Lowry, whom she married June 26, 2004, and preceded her on August 13, 2009; her 1st husband, William Brewer on July 14, 1994; her brother, Russell Comstock; her sister, Katherine "Kayann" Pilson; her son-in-law, Robert Ball; her step son, Raymond "Buddy" Campbell; 2 Great Grandsons, Damien Eberwein and Brandon VanWinkle; and 4 Nephews, Keith Maple, Kevin Maple, Carl "Buster" Hayford Jr, and Dakota Moyer. Nestie will be cremated and a memorial service held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 4:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church, 181 S. Main St., Andover,OH.
